Slotting / Slitting / Cut off Series
Slotting, grooving and slitting produce very high heat in the machining process. It is because (1) in slotting the machining process takes place in the closed surrounding as tool is always surrounded by three faces of the work-piece making cutting fluid inaccessible to cool the heat. (2) in slitting and slotting process large amount of heat is generated when several diameter cutters are used which produces heavy vibration on the work-piece. Y.T. has developed innovative cutter design and special grade metal cermet insert to withstand heat and produce strong resistance under unstable conditions. Besides, Y.T. has also covered huge range of specification in slitting and slotting segments making customers easily chose the required specification without any requirement for customized products. Diameters from 12mm-600mm and thickness 0.5mm - 30mm and various lengths shanks and tool holders for different types of machining requirements now all available in standard stock.
Using mosaic model design, Y.T. has innovated 1.0mm thickness indexable saw blade. The special geometric design of the insert can effectively reduce the heat resistance while machining. User can reduce the inventory cost by easily replacing the inserts according to the required machining materials without any need to purchase new cutter. The minimum diameter is 50mm and the maximum is up to 600mm. ( tolerance 0.1mm)
Special geometry design insert has effective chip removal ability to reduce resistance while machining. The special metal cermet grade insert has high heat resistance power to affect in increased tool-life. The entire series of the cutters are made of pre-hardened steel and the screws and keys are imported from SWISS to maintain the quality of the product. Insert has high C/P value, with effective 8 cutting edges while machining the shallow parts.
Y.T. has developed cutters for the requirement of heavy machining, high efficiency machining, backfacing machining and dual cutter parallel machining. These cutters are especially made for machining auto spare parts where machining required on both sides of the component. It is also most suitable for machining bottom of the component. The thickness of the cutter can provide very stable machining condition, which also requires machines with larger horsepower.
For slitting and grooving functions, many users need Transformer T-slot cutters. Since there are various sizes of machining requirements in thickness, width, cutting depth and different types of work-piece materials, customer has to spend a lot of money in purchasing different tools for each machining requirement. This will not only increase tool-cost but also adds more responsibility in managing inventory. In order to solve this problem, Y.T. has developed Transformer series cutters where the cutters, holders and inserts are interchangeable according to the machining requirement in different length, thickness and cutting depth. The maximum length of the holder is 300mm and the inserts thickness is available from 1.0mm to 12mm. The diameter is available from 50mm to 80mm with Radius and Chamfer inserts.
