How to reduce the machining cost in hole making

In these days of recession, it is hard for many customers to get orders or profitable orders. Many of users try to find the cheap HSS tools to reduce the tool cost even though they understood the toollife and performance are poor. But if you calculate with more details together with performance and cost, you will notice cheap tools doesn’t really save the cost instead you pay even more.

Usually, spot drill is used in Pre-drilling which makes a spot to bring drill in a right and precise position. The more precise the spot drill, the more accurate the pre-hole, which reduce the risk of drill wear-out and tap breakage problem. In general, people try to avoid the possibility of tap breakage in machining, because tapping is usually the last process of the work. Once the tap breaks, it takes time to remove the broken tap, and it may cause the risk of entire workpiece to be scrapped. A customer from Y.T. used to use the indexable spot drill from other brand, but because of the eccentric is too big which cannot effectively play the role of spot drill, on average, a batch of workpieces will break about 7 to 9 taps. After using our precise spot drill, an average batch of workpieces break 1 to 2 taps. The overall calculation of an indexable spot drill with a precise eccentricity can reduce the risk of drill wear and tap breakage, greatly reducing your tool costs and increasing machining efficiency.

In addition, there are 3 different angles for spot drill insert: 90° / 142° / 90° + 142°. The 90° spot drill is a multi-function application. In addition to spot, it can also be used for various functions such as chamfering / engraving / V-grooving.
