In the production of forged connecting rods, one automotive manufacturer was limited by a conventional brazed carbide cutter during heavy-duty plunge milling.

Low cutting speed, rapid tool wear, and frequent tool changes reduced overall production efficiency.

 

To improve the process, YIH TROUN implemented:

✅ Insert: 3T1022C-4.02-2R04-ME B100

Despite its 4-insert configuration, the T-Slot Cutter maintained excellent stability under high cutting loads while significantly improving machining performance.

Machining conditions increased from:

＊VC: 20 → 90 m/min

＊RPM: 400 → 1,300

＊Feed: 65 → 260 mm/min
