In counterbore machining, productivity can be lost before the cutting even begins.

Conventional processes require multiple tools and machining steps for spot drilling, drilling, counterboring, upper chamfering, and lower chamfering. Every additional tool change adds time and complexity to the production process.

YIH TROUN developed the 4-in-1 Counterbore to simplify this workflow.

A single indexable insert performs four functions:

• Spot drilling

• Counterboring

• Upper chamfering

• Lower chamfering

Combined with drilling, the 4-in-1 Counterbore reduces the conventional five-step process to just two steps, minimizing tool changes and improving overall machining efficiency.

The system also incorporates YIH TROUN's patented 390 positioning design for precise insert positioning. The same shank can accommodate up to 16 different inserts, providing greater flexibility for different machining requirements.
