    For a radius slot that requires an O-ring in the inner hole or a radius at the bottom of the groove, a custom-made solid R-groove cutter would be needed in the past to machine this type of workpiece, which was time inefficient, plus the poor performance of the solid welded cutter and expensive solid carbide tool. YIH TROUN has developed a new solution in indexable insert type with radius 0.5 - 3.0 inserts, allowing convenient replacement for different radius angles with a single UFO shank. A variety of inserts are available for different machining materials, while the six-tooth design and the geometric angle of the insert greatly improve the machining efficiency and tool life. Stocks of radius inserts with standard radius are all available to spare further customization.

    Chamfering is the most common machining process. For quality and appearance, it is usually changed the chamfer from C angle to R angle. Now our UFO series provides indexable UFO dual corner rounding insert in R angle with a diameter as small as 9.8 mm (4 teeth), which requires without any turning over of the workpiece but machining directly the bottom chamfer for high-productivity and cost saving.

The geometry design of insert can lead to effective chip evacuation and reduce heat generation during machining. End user can order inserts of various geometries and grades according to their machining requirements without the necessity to replace the cutter body. This dramatically reduces inventory cost of cutting tool stock. Diameter is from min. 50mm to max. 500mm (Tolerance 0.1mm). Patented indexable saw blades are developed by YIH TROUN, which has already effectively reduced machining cost for end user in over 40 countries and enhance their competitive advantage.     Indexable side milling cutter exclusively used in slotting / cut off process. The uniquely-designed insert cutting edge is used for big slot width / deep groove or material which is hard for machining. In order to reduce machining resistance, it is designed in stagger teeth to fully improve machining resistance and thus maximize machining efficiency. Modular adaptor design can not only save inventory cost of cutting tools, but also enhance the stability of cutter by center square positioning design, connection in cutter and holder, as wells as locking with 4 screws. Through the modular adaptor holder design, end user can use their current face milling arbor. Such kind of combined cutter has non-protruded flat bottom and will not cause the issue of interference with bottom.

Its unique insert cutting edge design is used for small / large slot width, deep groove or material which is hard for machining. It can achieve maximum metal remove rate to maximize machining efficiency. Side milling cutters of entire series are equipped with original screws with patented design and keys imported from Swiss to enhance locking strength more efficiently to ensure tool life. In order to reduce machining resistance, they are staggered with staggered teeth. There are dimensions in metric units and imperial units available for cutter inner holes. Side milling cutter can be equipped with right-angled SNGX insert. In addition, SNGW corner radius insert developed by YIH TROUN includes multiple rounding required by customers: R0.4 / R0.8 / R1.2 / R1.6 / R2.0 / R2.5 / R3.0.     Indexable corner rounding cutter uses YIH TROUN 390 patented clamping structure. Customer can easily mount / unmount inserts and achieve very good center precision. We build very complete standard rounding inserts in stock: Radius R1 - R10. Customer doesn't need to customize corner rounding cutter every time, but only needs to buy standard rounding insert to replace with. This can save the inventory cost of cutting tools. Rounding machining doesn't need to use solid carbide tool by machining the radius in several paths slowly, but using carbide inserts let you achieve required radius specification at once. Inserts with different radius can share the same holder and there are holders with different length available. Grinded carbide insert can achieve very good surface finish.
